The Tāwhiri Workshop is a core pillar of Tāwhiri’s operations, providing set construction services for national stage productions and events alongside those produced within Tāwhiri’s programmes.

We’re looking for an experienced person with carpentry skills and the ability to manage a small team to join our team as Workshop Supervisor / Scenic Carpenter. The purpose of this position is to lead the Tāwhiri workshop, overseeing onsite operations and managing the delivery of external and internal construction projects. The role aims to build on the success of the Tāwhiri Workshop by streamlining processing and contributing to long-term planning.
Please note that due to the nature of our events, a flexible approach to working hours during Festival periods is essential. Some weekend and evening work will be required.

We are looking for a Theatre Manager for the Raye Freedman Arts Centre at Epsom Girls Grammar School. The person will need to be experienced in personnel and financial management and be able to work in close liaison with EGGS staff, community hire groups and Auckland Council to maximise use of the auditorium and studio complex. Each year, the Festival has a wide range of crewing requirements across all of our venues from late February to the end of March. We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced theatre and live arts professionals to join our Production Team. The Organisation:
Marlborough Civic Theatre Trust (MCTT) owns and operates the ASB Theatre Marlborough and operates the Marlborough Events Centre in Blenheim. Along with hosting a diverse range of events such as theatre productions, conferences, functions, workshops, wine tastings, graduations, and more, the Trust also services the AV requirements of major offsite and outdoor events.
The Role:
This role actively supports and contributes to the technical delivery of events, activities and systems at any of the MCTT venues and offsite events throughout any phase of the event process. This includes the appropriate selection, installation, operation and removal of audio, lighting, AV, rigging and network equipment based on event and venue requirements. This role also contributes to the ongoing equipment maintenance and compliance program to ensure optimum presentation and efficiency.
Tasks are undertaken on a rostered basis and the hours of work are influenced by event requirements.

Show Light and Power is a well-known company that has a strong influence and presence in the events Industry. We are part of a group of companies under the umbrella of Coast Group. We have locations throughout the country and the work is varied and expansive.

Events and entertainment industry experiance is preferable but not necessary
Full driver’s license

Experience with scissor lifts, boom lifts & forklifts although training will be provided

Whirinaki Whare Taonga is a unique art centre in Upper Hutt aimed at engaging, enriching, and connecting people with art, culture, and events.
We are looking for bright and friendly Technical Operatives to work primarily in our performing arts theatre known as the Gillies Group Theatre. Proficiency and proven experience in theatrical lighting is the key discipline and requirement. Some knowledge of audio systems would be useful but not essential.
The work is of a casual on-call nature and may suit a semi-retired person, or those looking for 'as and when required' part-time shifts.
