About The Opportunity

  • We are seeking a Design Engineer to support the design, documentation, and technical development of AV and PAVA systems across tendered and live projects.
  • This role works alongside our existing Design Engineer and sits at the intersection of engineering design, compliance, and delivery. You will collaborate with clients, project managers, installation teams, and suppliers to help develop solutions that are technically robust, cost effective, and compliant with relevant standards and legislation.
  • You will be responsible for translating client requirements into clear, buildable designs, supporting projects from early concept through to installation support and system verification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design AV and PAVA systems that balance performance, safety, compliance, and budget
  • Create clear design documentation, technical reports, and tender support material
  • Prepare quotations, tenders, and accurate Bills of Materials
  • Support procurement and equipment selection
  • Stay current with standards, legislation, and industry best practice
  • Visit sites to validate designs and confirm real-world feasibility
  • Provide hands-on technical support to installation teams
  • Test, verify, and quality-check systems against design intent
  • Explore new technologies and turn innovation into practical solutions
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams across the full project lifecycle

About You

You will bring a strong technical foundation and a methodical, engineering led approach to AV system design.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in designing AV and/or communication systems
  • Strong ability to interpret client requirements and convert them into clear technical designs
  • Experience in preparing quotations, tenders, and supporting technical documentation
  • A solid understanding of Electronics, Networking, AV system architecture, signal flow, and integration principles
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and associated design tools (Revit, Revizto, Inventor)
  • Knowledge of construction environments, installation practices, and system commissioning
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence collaborating across design, project management, and installation teams
  • A current driver’s licence
