He angitūtanga: The opportunity 

We are in the market for a Sound and Vision Co-ordinator to assist the Manager – Technical Sound and Vision with the coordination and delivery of Auckland Live’s sound and vision operational requirements. The role works collaboratively in a busy environment with Technical Managers, Production Managers and Technicians, largely involving rostering sound and vision technicians to meet the demands of Auckland Live’s busy event schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Roster sound and vision technical staff over a minimum two-week period according to the operational requirements of the event schedule
  • Collaborate with other Technical Managers, Production Managers and technical staff to ensure events are well planned
  • Interpreting event schedules and work order requests to ensure events have the correct sound and vision resourcing and staff

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

  • Previous coordination or rostering experience in a technical production environment would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability working well in a busy and highly collaborative team environment from previous roles
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a high level of personal presentation
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A high level of computer literacy and be able to learn new software systems
