Live-Streaming Technician for Theatre Project

We are seeking an enthusiastic tech to work closely with our experienced Stage Manager in Wellington to facilitate and operate a livestreamed performance season using VMIX, live audio mixing (Yamaha QL1) and do some basic camera operation. you will be supporting and working closely with our Touring Tech to create solid interactive livestream for performances for young audiences in schools around Aotearoa. This is an opportunity to work with an established Wellington director on a cutting-edge educational performance season.

As part of the performance shows behind the scenes views, you may appear on the livestream for the children to see, but no performance element is required.

Key skills / Preferred experience:
• VMIX software
• Livestreaming experience of any kind
• Live audio mixing Yamaha QL1
• Basic video editing
• Basic understanding of networking
• Collaborative, thinking on your feet, proactive and keen to upskill
• H&S conscious
• Full NZ driver’s license and clean driving record
• Team player

The show is devised, interactive and will be tailored to each region of the country and therefore it’s important that you can work in a flexible and changing environment.

This project runs for 9.5 weeks and moves our company into new and exciting territory. It’s a great opportunity for someone who is collaborative and keen to build their skill base. The contract will run from 11 July to 30 September 2022, for 40 hours per week on average (more during rehearsals, less during performance season).
