As custodian to some of the most iconic venues, we are New Zealand’s only major integrated performing arts centre, underpinned by a commercial conventions business, with a focus on presenting the best of national and international performing arts, conventions, meetings, and entertainment. As such this Lighting Technician position plays a critical role in assisting in the technical delivery of Lighting services to all events undertaken by our Technical Production Department.
He angitūtanga: The opportunity
This position reports to the Manager Technical Lighting, and will be integral in the production team, assisting in the delivery of events across the organisation – together with day–to–day operations, training, & maintenance of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited lighting inventory.
The successful applicant will assist with the design and coordination of event lighting requirements, and assist stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve their desired outcome.

He kōrero mōu: About you
As an experienced Lighting Technician, you will have ideally 3 years’ experience in a performing arts centre, music venue, events delivery or lighting hire company. You will have deep knowledge from experience, in the planning, preparation and execution of events and entertainment of all sizes and shapes.
A good understanding of ETC lighting control equipment, Vectorworks, Spotlight and IP based networking, together with H&S safety standards as they apply to safe working practices in our industry.
